I discovered this old green abandoned house when I first moved to northern Oklahoma in 2019. Something about it has me taking photos each and every time I’m in the area. The Prickly Pear Cactus was brought to Australia in 1788 and quickly became a pest overrunning many thousand acres of farmland. To combat it, the caterpillar/moth Cactoblastis was introduced in the 1920s. Wildly successful, it practically eliminated the spiny exotic in a few years. Hence, Cactus, in Australian slang, means: beaten, finished, ruined, kaput etc.

This is a watercolour painting I did in South Australia. While visiting Morgan, a country town on the River Murray, I took a photograph of an old weathered door on an abandoned railway carriage near the old Morgan paddle steamer wharf. I loved the rusty texture and the ancient looking wood.

Pillar Arch in Potter Canyon New Mexico by Debra Martz I love the finds on backroads and when I was told there was a brochure to some of the more unknown Arches it was game on. We had a full day to explore but discovered that was not enough time but we did find more than half a dozen arches and saw some wonderful countryside scenery. To reach 3 arches in Potter Canyon you take US 550 north of Aztec toward Durango, Co, make a right on NM 173, travel 5.6 miles and turn right on a dirt road. After 1/2 mile, park at a gas well and search out in 3 different directions for 3 arches. We found Pillar and Outcrop arches but could see nor figure out a slight hint of a trail to Alien Arch! ©Debra Martz 20180902-DSC_7458-HDR-ET

Lasithi Prefecture is the less known, less travelled and discovered prefecture from all 4 of Crete island (Greece), and in my opinion that's where exactly where its "charm" lies. Many secrets to be discovered by a traveller with time and love for exploration. One of these secret is this beautiful gorge, called "Sarakina" located about 25 km to the west of my hometown, Ierapetra. You' ll have to take the west exit of the town, heading to Myrtos. You pass right beside this village and after 2-3 km you 'll turn right towards a village called Mythoi. About 3-4 km after Mythoi you will find the exit of the gorge. You'll have to go through a very narrow path in order to enter the gorge, which is relatively small and pretty easy to cross, ...

I haven't even finished watching Jessica Jones yet but something... compelled me to create this design. Purple Man is a terrible person to want to design for, but he told me to do it... Besides, I like villains.
