Description: Big Boy Restaurant Group, LLC, doing business as Big Boy, is an American casual dining restaurant chain headquartered in Southfield, Michigan. The Big Boy name, design aesthetic, and menu were previously licensed to a number of regional franchisees. Big Boy began as Bob's Pantry in 1936 by Bob Wian in Glendale, California.: 11 The restaurants became known as "Bob's", "Bob's Drive-Ins", "Bob's, Home of the Big Boy Hamburger", and Bob's Big Boy. It became a local chain under that name and nationally under the Big Boy name, franchised by Robert C. Wian Enterprises; Wian only required franchisees to use "Big Boy" and not include his name "Bob's".

From Wikipedia: Union Pacific 4014 is a four-cylinder simple articulated 4-8-8-4 Big Boy-type steam locomotive owned and operated by the Union Pacific Railroad. Built in 1941 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) of Schenectady, New York, No. 4014 is the only operating Big Boy of the eight that remain in existence. The locomotive operated in revenue service until 1959. It was donated to the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society in late 1961 and thereafter displayed in Fairplex in Pomona, California. Description: Manners Restaurant - Home of the Big Boy. Cleveland, Ohio. Bob Manners, opened his first Manners around the corner from Euclid Beach Park on Lake Shore Boulevard in June 1938. Manners started serving the Big Boy in 1954. It was “a meal in one on a double-deck bun.” They had a promotional tie-in called the Big Ghoulardi shake.
