Cassowary Hoodies
Description: "Be Casso-Wary!" they say in North Queensland, where there is a possibility that a visitor to the rainforest might run into one of these large, prehistoric-looking birds. They also say that Cassowaries can be very grumpy and they don't like visitors in their forest! But we need to protect them - several species of plants depend on the cassowaries to eat and disperse their seeds. Without the cassowaries, there may be no rainforest. Description: This is a Cassowary. Even though it looks like an awesome dinosaur, it's a bird that looks kind of like the hardcore punk cousin of an emu.
