Burger Chef was an American fast-food restaurant chain. It began operating in 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana, expanded throughout the United States, and, at its peak in 1973, had 1,050 locations. The chain featured several signature items, such as the Big Shef and Super Shef hamburgers. Burger Chef spread across both the West and East Coasts—eventually becoming second only to McDonald's in number of locations... hard to believe, right? This version of the retro 70's Burger Chef design includes a thoughtful distressing treatment to give it just the right look.

Very few drive-thru establishments can serve up adultery and quiet rage, but Mr. Smiley's has got a surplus of those extra-special menu items. In American Beauty Lester's wife rolls through for a double smiley sandwich, curly fries and a vanilla shake (while making out with The Real Estate King), but we'd opt for the beef-and-cheese pot pie on a stick and a side of Lester's ironic delivery of "Smile! You're at Mr. Smiley's" to wash it all down.
