Hobo Joe’s was just that and after opening the first location in 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona, the coffee shop became a hit and grew to include dozens of locations throughout the state, each of which included a life-size statue of 'Hobo Joe' standing out front, a few of which included his named canine companion. There were also a few locations that received 20+ foot tall statues, one of which still stands in Buckeye, Arizona today.
