The beach at Druridge Bay in Northumberland photographed from the top of the sand dunes looking north on a cold and windy March morning with cloudy blue sky and pockets of sunshine lightening up the dunes. Coquet Island can be seen on the horizon at the extreme right side of the photograph.

Early December morning on the beach at Druridge Bay in Northumberland, North East England with the sky still showing dawn colour as well as the blue of daytime. With a bit of imagination, the walk along the beach looks as if it is leading to warmth on the cold winter morning.

Druridge Bay in Northumberland is seven miles of beautiful beach between Cresswell in the south and Amble in the north and is almost deserted for much of the year. This image was taken on an overcast August morning looking south towards the village of Cresswell and the blue/grey sky was reflected on the calm waters of the North Sea. A small flock of seagulls were resting on the mirror like surface.

This image was taken on a bright September morning looking North over still water left by the retreating tide and reflecting the clear blue sky; it seemed as if there was only me and my dog for miles.
