This design is telling the story about the famous poem by Dante Alighieri. It is inspired by the number circles that are supposed to exist in hell.

Joelho-Alto Prejuizo Moral (in English: "Knee-high Mischiefs") is a 1985 low budget Portuguese horror movie. It features small imp-like creatures who terrorize a village and are hunted by an old shop owner. The foreign film is a blatant rip off of the 1984 American movie "Gremlins". It deviated by adding different colored monsters which were meant to be a metaphor for World War II: blue ones were good, green ones were evil and red ones were indifferent. It is a favorite of cinephile Abed Nadir who appreciates it for its campy qualities despite its plagiaristic nature and shoddy production values. Its first appearance was in the Season Six episode "Lawnmower Maintenance and Postnatal Care".

The Gates of Hell (French: La Porte de l'Enfer) is a monumental sculptural group work by French artist Auguste Rodin that depicts a scene from the Inferno, the first section of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. It stands at 6 metres high, 4 metres wide and 1 metre deep (19.7×13.1×3.3 ft) and contains 180 figures. The figures range from 15 centimetres (6 in) high up to more than one metre (3 ft). Several of the figures were also cast independently by Rodin.

Piranha is a 1978 American horror comedy film directed and co-edited by Joe Dante, and starring Bradford Dillman, Heather Menzies, Kevin McCarthy, Keenan Wynn, Barbara Steele and Dick Miller. The film tells the story of a river being infested by lethal, genetically altered piranha, threatening the lives of the local inhabitants and the visitors to a nearby summer resort. Produced by Roger Corman, Piranha was one of a series of low-budget B movies inspired by the film Jaws (1975), which had been a major success for Universal Studios and director Steven Spielberg.
