Design inspired by the yin yang’s symbol of balance and the power of opposites. Balance is the key to everything.

This is original design for all those people interested in the internal arts, Chinese philosophy and/or yogic practices. This version of the yin-yang was designed by me many years ago for my taijiquan class t-shirts. I added the butterflies as I felt that it conjured up the characteristics of lightness, calmness and evasiveness. [Image is NOT distressed]

Black and White Design

I Ching (Book of Change) Hexagram 11 is named 泰 (tài), "Pervading". Other variations include "peace" and "greatness". Its inner (lower) trigram is ☰, force/heaven, and its outer (upper) trigram is ☷, field/earth.

In this tale, an old grandfather teaches his grandson about life and the duality of dark and light that is within us all. It reads: "A fight is going on inside me, it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil. He is anger, sorrow, regret, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment and lies. The other is Good. He is love, joy, peace, kindness, truth, compassion and faith. This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person. Which wolf will win? The one you feed."

This design is a combination of three concepts. I have combined the yin and yang with the wolf and added the blue universe for the background.
