Glass Skyscraper Hoodies
Description: Architect Doug Roberts returns to San Francisco for the dedication of the Glass Tower, which he designed for developer James Duncan. The tower, 1,688 feet (515 m) tall and 138 stories, is the world's tallest building. During testing, an electrical short starts an undetected fire on the 81st floor just after another such short occurs in the main utility room. Upon learning this, Roberts sees the wiring is inadequate and suspects that Roger Simmons, the electrical subcontractor and Duncan's son-in-law, cut corners. Roberts confronts Simmons, who feigns innocence.
Description: We were taking one of the water busses around Sydney's water front when I noticed a trio of modern office buildings along side Darling Harbour, in Barangaroo. Office buildings are office building until you look at the details. While each of the buildings were essentially the same, there were nuances such as differing colours and differing levels for what looked observation decks. When zooming-in, these buildings provided a cool abstraction with their columnar construction.
Description: John Hancock Tower rises as New England's tallest building and an icon of modern design, according to the poster's own tagline. The retro travel-ad scene sets the glass rhomboid skyscraper against red brick buildings, a historic church steeple, and an orange and white streetcar on the Boston street below.
