By the power vested in me, I pronounce you Unified! Seriously though, Maxwell unifying Electricity and Magnetism through his set of equations is the cornerstone of modern civilisation. You wouldn't even be reading this if it wasn't for Ol' Maxwell moving magnets through solenoids. Electricity and Magnetism are hence, not two separate entities but part of the same, in sickness and in health.

From the series “Imaginary portraits”, oil on canvas, 30 x 40 cm A series of very simple small works, almost trivial: each drawing depicts a face and an expression. Is it possible to create a catalog of all the expressions of the human face? Is it possible to classify all the attitudes that our face can take and give a name to each one? No, obviously, because the expressions are endless, as well as the possible variations in the human physiognomy, so that a certain attitude, worn by different faces, can assume from time to time different meanings. It 'a game in which the variables are too many to govern, a sort of indeterminate equation. But then, what sense can have a job like that? Indeed, it could be interesting to investigate why, who portrays the faces, has chosen these, among all the possible infinite combinations. There are some recurring elements? The expressions are mostly happy, or sad and pensive? The eyes are directed towards the observer, or are they absent, facing something hidden? Eventually, this collection of chromosomes will not be able to describe a kind of genetic code, but it will be something very close to the genetic code of the artist. www.saatchiart.com/ico71

This is from a project I did in 2014. It was basicly based on some ideas I got from listening to Jean Michel Jarre's Magnetic Fields album. Which in turn made me understand something really profound. The album has 5 tracks, so I made drawings for each one of the tracks. This is for the 5th and last track. A happy rhumba. I have the drawing I made for the 4th track available here too. Many thanks to Svein Arild Kristiansen who helped photographing the drawing. It was way too big to fit in my scanner. Thank you for watching!

This is my digital drawing of the music cassette, a big percentage of us grew up relying on these and would never have guessed it would be replaced by a round cd disc that stores our favorite tracks each listened to by the click of a button. Those crazy and frustrating times are gone when we pressed the forward wind button only to find it had wound passed the track we wanted to hear then rewinding numerous times in hope to get to the start of our best song. So..... annoying or not, we did rely on them and i drew this to celebrate just that.
