Manhattan Sci Fi Horror Comics Hoodies
Description: In the mid-'70s, Omega Man and Planet of the Apes were hot sci-fi films garnering a lot of public interest, so when you're looking for a new comic book title, why not merge themes from both hit movies and give it a vampire twist? Surely it can't lose, right? Sadly, 1975's Planet of Vampires didn't cut it and only made it for three issues before the title was canceled by its publisher.
Description: A vintage comic book cover with a classic science fiction theme, titled "Fantastic Worlds." The artwork features two astronauts in space suits, one male and one female, with the female astronaut being drawn into a giant, yellow, carnivorous plant that resembles a Venus flytrap. The background is dominated by a red hue. The plant's tendrils are wrapping around the female astronaut as the male astronaut reaches out to her with a knife in hand, suggesting an attempt at a rescue. The artwork has a dramatic, pulpy feel typical of mid-20th-century science fiction.
