The central panel of Hieronymus Bosch's painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" depicts an exuberant and surreal Earthly Paradise, where human figures and fantastic creatures enjoy pleasures amidst a vibrant landscape. Despite the apparent harmony, the work contains disturbing and symbolic elements, such as exaggerated fruit and hybrid creatures, which suggest themes such as desire, temptation and sin. Bosch challenges viewers to reflect on the human condition and its deeper meaning, leaving room for diverse and open interpretations.
