St Mark's Campanile (Campanile di San Marco in Italian) is the bell tower of St Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy, located in the Piazza San Marco. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. The tower is 98.6 metres (323 ft) tall, and stands alone in a corner of St Mark's Square, near the front of the basilica. The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant'Angelo (English: Castle of the Holy Angel), is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. Monte di Pieta' is a religious organization founded for charity purpose by a minor brother Giovanni Maltei da Calvi in 1539. Monte's activity consisted of money lending on the lowest interests and often without obligation to return money at all. At present their functions had notably changed. Its first seat was in zone of Banchi Vecchi, from where they were transferred by Sixtus V to the via dei Coronari, and in 1603 the organization acquired this Renaissance palace, built here by O.Mascherino for the cardinal Prospero Santacroce Publicola. The 1956 Memorial Square is approximately a kilometer long mixed-use concrete-covered area featuring the 1956 Monument. The square often hosts big public events, festivals, civil programs, parades and other festivities and celebrations. The monument of the 1956 uprising is the central element of the square, commemorating the thousands of brave Budapesters, who took up arms against soviet oppression. The Boscolo Budapest Hotel, formerly the New York Palace (Hungarian: New York-palota) is a luxury hotel on the Grand Boulevard of Budapest's Erzsébet körút part, under Erzsébet körút 9-11, in the 7th district of Budapest, Hungary. Built by the New York Life Insurance Company as a local head office, its Café in the ground floor named New York Café (Hungarian: New York Kávéház) was a longtime center for Hungarian literature and poetry, almost from its opening on October 23, 1894 to its closure in 2001, to reconstruct it into a luxury hotel, as it is now. The Hungarian Parliament Building (Hungarian: Országház, which translates to House of the Country or House of the Nation) is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and still the tallest building in Budapest. This Neoclassical structure was completed between 1861 and 1874, and is based on the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. The west facade ends in projecting bays, and a portico projects from the center of the building. At the base of the portico, seven granite archways brace and support the porch above. Eight fluted Corinthian columns line the portico. A cornice supports the pediment above depicting Minerva surrounded by Education, Justice, and Mining. Above the flat roof with balustrade are two drums supporting a dome. The first drum consists of a colonnade of Corinthian columns; the second, Corinthian pilasters.
