Description: An illustration for fans of the Back to the Future movie trilogy. The Delorean time machine being struck by lightening. Description: 45 MPH couch potato This design leans into the contrast every greyhound owner knows well: a dog built for speed that prefers soft blankets and long naps. The clean silhouette and curved text create quick visual impact while highlighting the breed’s famously funny personality. It works year-round and ties especially well into holidays like National Dog Day and relaxed family gatherings where humor hits harder.
Description: Flying Scotsman LNER number 4472 became the first steam locomotive to be officially authenticated at a speed of 100 MPH on the 30th November 1934 on a special test run. Unofficially the GWR locomotive 3440 City of Truro was timed at running in excess of 100 mph during a run from Plymouth to London in 1904.
Description: The Cannonball Run is a 1981 comedy movie that follows a wacky cast of characters as they compete in an illegal cross-country road race. The race at the center of the movie is based on an actual event, the Cannonball Baker Sea to Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, organized by Brock Yates to protest the 55 mph speed limit then in effect in the U.S. The Cannonball was named for Erwin G. 'Cannonball' Baker, who in the roaring '20s rode his motorcycle across the country. Many of the characters are based on ruses developed by real Cannonball racers over the several years that the event was run. Largely panned by critics, the movie was a hit with audiences and did well at the box office, which lead to the 1984 sequel, The Cannonball Run II.
