In 1922, Howard Carter broke into an undiscovered tomb he had found in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.
With Lord Carnarvon, the financier of the expedition, at his side, Carnarvon peered into the tomb to see what Carter had discovered.
When asked what he saw as looked into the dim candlelit tomb, he replied "wonderful things".
The discovery of the Egyptian pharaoh, Tutankhamun, was a major event in the history of Egypt, and also the of the field of archaeology.
This design is of Lord Carnarvon's Egyptian Expedition which discovered the tomb of King Tut.
