The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers' village.

In October of 2021, Retro Supply Co. (maker of vintage-inspired digital brushes, textures, etc.) sponsored the #FrightFall drawing challenge. I took the opportunity to create images heavily inspired by classic/vintage Halloween art and decorations, but with my own twists (particularly with regard to color). This was the image I created for the prompt "GRAVEYARD".

According to Enrique Martínez y Martínez, in the Cuba Arquitectura y Urbanismo magazine, Cementerio de Colón “was the most notable religious construction built in the city in the 19th century.” Given the richness of its architecture and sculptures, it is also regarded as one of the most valuable religious constructions in the world, from a cultural viewpoint.
