The tall, narrow brick façades with ornate Dutch gables and large windows are unmistakably Amsterdam. The façades lean off-centre, a characteristic feature of 17th‑century canal houses in the historic old centre of the city. The glowing streetlamp in the foreground anchors the artwork, casting a golden light that contrasts with the deep blue sky.
