It calls forth the power of Hecate, Greek goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, the moon, ghosts and necromancy. Hecate's Wheel symbolizes Hecate in three forms. One modern interpretation of this can be seen in the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. She was also associated with a vast knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, so leaves became a general focus for this design. Description: A full foliage Tree of Life is bordered by an Ouroboros (the snake that devours itself). The tree is the embodiment of Gaia, the earth, earth energy. The Ouroboros (in this composition) represents the "whole" or All. The Triskelion hinted in the root area represents the past, present and future. Paradise is so easily lost, so often taken for granted. This work is a homage to our home, Gaia (Earth), which by all definitions is a paradise. A fragile paradise.

Description: This design is based off one of the most famous panels of the Gundestrup Cauldron. It depicts the god-- often identified as Cernunnos-- holding a torc in one hand and a snake in the other. I've recreated the design in my own style making a unique take on this famous piece of Celtic/La Tene art!
