I thought I was viewing a movie set while exploring the backroads of Prince Edward Island. Gillis' Drive In Restaurant is one of the last car hops service in Canada. It is located in the community of Montague, within the Town of Three Rivers, Kings County PEI. It had a lot of character and a great opportunity to create a story of nostalgia. Unfortunately at the time, there were a lot of modern day cars parked that didn't fit the theme of what I wanted to capture. What to do? So I returned the next day before daybreak and yes the lot was empty! However the sun coming up directly behind and silhouetting the drive-in itself! This wasn't working!
