And more than seventy-five percent of those went on to the Ivy League. The film's Welton Academy in Vermont was fictional, based on a Nashville prep school Schulman attended as a teen. More than 100 schools across the country were considered as the setting of Welton Academy. When "Poets" director Peter Weir pulled up to St. Andrews School for the first time "his eyes got as big as saucers," producer Steven Haft told The News Journal at the time. "He turned to me and said, 'This is it.'"
Description: The Volkswagen from the 1974 Peter Weir film, The Cars That Ate Paris, is a vehicle that once seen, is never forgotten. So what better way to present the car from that classic Australian film, than as a road warning sign? I’m actually quite pleased with this. I took a 3D model of a VW Beetle and using stills and screen captures, did my best to accurately place all the spikes in the right spots.
