This was originally a painting inspired by the beautiful windmills and sunsets on the Norfolk Broads in England. It was called "Norfolk Broads Windmill".

The last rays of sunshine lights up the fields

I pulled over for this late one evening. I had to wait until the clouds opened for the sun to highlight the landscape. Two trees stand in a wheat field to complete this country scene. I love the early summer days when crops of wheat turn to gold and provide a rich contrast to the rural landscape. Soon the wheat will mature and be ready to harvest. Farm life. Summer days.
