Secretariat This is a montage painting of the great Secretariat. A racehorse that could not and can not be rivaled. He was the 1973 Triple Crown Winner. He broke records in every one of the elite races. His records still stand at all three tracks today. Big Red was a super horse plain and simple and we are unlikely to see a horse of his calibre again in our lifetimes. This painting was done digitally to replicate colored pencil. It was done on an iPad using hte app ProCreate. It would look lovely as a fine art paper print matted and framed as a living room or den piece. I also do custom commissions. Secretariat Horse Racing - Kentucky Derby

American Pharoah This painting is of the 12th Triple Crown Winner, American Pharoah. He was the winner of the 2015 Triple Crown of American horse racing. Prior to his win, there was a 37 year drought as no horse was able to win all three races, the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness Stakes and The Belmont Stakes. The last winner before American Pharoah was Affirmed in 1978. This Triple Crown was extra special to me as it was the first in my lifetime. I would watch the races every year hoping for another super horse. While he may be no Secretariat, he still is pretty special.
