Papyrus, 105 MPH March 1935, Silver Link, 112 MPH in September 1935. Mallard is the holder of the world speed record for a steam locomotive at 126 mph in 1938. Sir Nigel Gresley set a post-war steam speed record of 112mph in 1959 and Bittern set a British Preserved speed record of 92.8 MPH in June 2013.

I have always been fascinated by the intricate details and mechanisms of trains. There's something so mesmerizing about watching them speed along the tracks, their wheels churning and smoke billowing out of their chimneys. As a child, I would spend hours setting up tracks and arranging my collection of trains, creating intricate routes and scenarios for them to follow. Even now, as an adult, I find myself drawn to this hobby as a way to unwind and escape from the stresses of everyday life. There's just something so peaceful about sitting back and watching the trains go by, lost in the rhythmic chugging of the locomotives and the gentle swaying of the cars. For me, playing with trains is not just a hobby - it's a way to connect with the past
