Art by Nour Hassan and Duy Truong This is a scene from the "Wurtherington Diary." The creature said, "I am an opossum, sir and I am known as Zeke, far and wide." I offered my hand and he licked it. "No, I wish to make you my friend and if you shake my hand we will be friends." I showed him how to do it properly. I told myself that I must remember that Zeke was a mammal and not a human and would not have any understanding of human nature. It was not that easy to do, as up until yesterday, anyone who talked to me was a human. Now I find myself talking to a mouse, an octopus, and now an opossum. I reminded myself that Kira was a strange land and it was my duty to learn the customs if I was going to be of any help at all.

This Peerless Traction Engine 'Princess Tammy' was built in the USA in 1895 by the Geiser Manufacturing Company of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This engine is believed to be the only one of its kind in the UK. Lovingly restored to full working order over the last 7 years by the current owner. Pictured at the Bournemouth & Poole Preservation Club's annual Steam & Vehicle Show at Canford Park Arena, Poole, Dorset, England. Date: 20th June 2010.

One can draw from the experience of illustrating the entire story; and then it is effortless to come up with a inspiring idea for a cover. It is viewed in an instant--Tammy, the apple,( and later we added William Tell with his crossbow.) All with a rainbow in the Swiss Alps. We could call this "Fantasy in Blue." if we wished--but we'll stick with the title on hand.

"We have a young lady here with us," said George Washington. "Tammy, is it as simple as that?" I grabbed a scissors and I seized a piece of paper lying on the table and began snipping." It is nothing at all." I handed him a perfect five pointed star. Betsy handed him one that she had cut. The officers with Washington held back their grins as best they could. One said, "General Washington, you have been out maneuvered by all this. I would bet that even the mouse agrees."

In this scene, the reader can see that Polly, the loveable vulture, has joined the group. Duy has gone all out with this drawing (as she always does) and has all the little touches that make this painting magical. It is bedtime now. It was difficult to tell as it could best be described as musical mayhem; although they did it in perfect two-part harmony. We listened to several tunes and each one was funnier than the last. "Bravo, bravo!" Mr. Scott offered an applause for the effort that had him belly laughing.

The Wurtherington Diary: Tammy and the Declaration of Independence Art by Duy Truong and Nour Hassan Paul Revere was surprised that my associates were so talkative but he got over it as the situation was desperate and the fate of the entire revolution was at stake. He gave it a moment's thought and said, “Tammy, you will ride with me.” I put Alfred on my shoulder and hopped up on the horse and held on to Paul Revere. “Hold on tight, little one. This is going to be some ride!”
