Kazuya Mishima (三島 一八 Mishima Kazuya?) is one of the main characters in the Tekken series. He appears in all Tekken games except Tekken 3, in which he only made two cameo appearances. Although he is seen as the main protagonist and hero of the first Tekken game, Kazuya became one of the major antagonists of the series ever since Tekken 2. Kazuya is the son of Heihachi Mishima and Kazumi Mishima, the possible love interest of Jun Kazama and the father of Jin Kazama. He's also the adoptive brother of Lee Chaolan, the half-brother of Lars Alexandersson, and the grandson of Jinpachi Mishima.

Reina, the Purple Lightning, is using her lightning quick moves to overwhelm her opponents. She is surrounded by mystery as the only known fact about her is that she is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School. She also seems to have a very particular interest in Jin, especially in fighting him.[6]

King is a title that two characters have taken in the Tekken series. Even though there have been two characters who have taken the name, each is simply called King in their respective games, though a numerical value is sometimes given to them to separate them as different characters. Both King I and King II are luchadores from Mexico who support orphans. In the games, they are never seen without their jaguar masks. There has been a King in every game in the Tekken series, and this, along with his unique appearance and trademark "point", has made him one of the most recognizable characters not only in the series but also in the fighting game genre.

Jin Kazama is one of the main characters of the Tekken series. He is featured on the cover art for the console version of almost every sequel following his introduction in Tekken 3. He has been the main protagonist for the majority of the following entries ever since his debut in Tekken 3, and his main motivation has been trying to end the Mishima Bloodline to save the world from their evil.

Marshall Law is an American fighter of Chinese descent who was introduced in the original Tekken game, and has returned for all subsequent Tekken games, except Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament (where he was replaced by his son, Forest Law, though he made a cameo in his son's ending and in the opening in the former). He is a very close friend of Paul Phoenix and is married to Mrs. Law. He and his family have at various times owned a dojo and a restaurant.

Nina Williams is a cold-blooded Irish assassin that made her first appearance in the original Tekken game and has appeared in every Tekken game since. Nina has a lethal fighting style, consisting of throws, grapples, and holds. She has an infamous rivalry with her younger sister, Anna Williams.
