Septic Death was a hardcore punk band from formed in 1981 making them one of the first hardcore bands in the United States. The Boise, Idaho foursome was a major influence for the development of grindcore, thrashcore, and speedcore genres, and while their music was fast, it was also very technical. The band's lyrics mainly dealt with fear, paranoia and mental states. The band's only LP, "Now That I Have The Attention What Do I Do With It?," was big in Japan where it received major label publishing and promotion. The group disbanded in 1986, releasing several EPs posthumously.

Vitamin-X sun star fall vintage, Vitamin X (abbreviated VX) is a Dutch hardcore punk band from Amsterdam formed in 1997. Their sound is characterized by furious hardcore punk mixed with turbo-charged thrash, 1970s rock riffs and wild guitar solos. The members are straight edge but this does not reflect their lyrics or music. Their current line-up consists of four members: Marko Korac (vocals), Alex Koutsman (bass guitar), Danny Schneiker (drums), and Marc Emmerik (songwriter, guitar).

S.O.B. or as they are frequently referred, to, SxOxB, (abbreviated from Sabotage Organized Barbarian) is a Japanese grindcore punk band formed in Osaka in 1983. They are considered hugely influential on grindcore bands and the genre of death metal, as well as one of the mainstays of the thrashcore genre.
