Native Americans were the first inhabitants of Winthrop, living along the banks of the Methow, Twisp, and Chewuch rivers. The first white men to visit the valley were trappers in the 19th century. In the spring of 1868, placer gold was discovered and the lure of gold brought the first permanent white settlers, three of whom were James Ramsey, Ben Pearrygin, and Guy Waring. Waring stopped at the forks of the Chewuch and Methow rivers in 1891. His family settled into the "Castle" (now the Shafer Museum). Although Waring is the acclaimed founding father, the town is named after Theodore Winthrop, an adventure traveler, and gifted 19th-century author. The town was rebuilt after a devastating fire in 1893 and was officially incorporated in 1924.

Founded in the small desert town of Sky Valley, California in 1971, the aptly named Sky Valley Van Works was a small shop doing big things during the heyday of van customization. Whether you were looking to go low with some serious street van attitude or looking for a go anywhere 4x4 conversion, Sky Valley Van Works could make it happen. From all out custom jobs like their 'Foxy Box' to basic upgrades like porthole windows and side pipes, the guys at Sky Valley were a true gem in the desert that was worth the drive to get your rig tricked out.

Statler was a dealership in Hill Valley, California that was owned by the Statler family and sold the custom 4x4 pickup given to Marty McFly in 1985. In the timeline where Biff controls Hill Valley, a store named PIG Mart, that sold adult books and "love toys", sat on the site and in the timeline where Marty posed as his son to prevent him from going to prison, a Pontiac dealership was located in the plot of land in Courthouse Square where Statler was located in 1985. This design replicates a typical dealer promotional t-shirt that one might get for taking a test drive on a certain day or coming in and asking about an advertised vehicle, but it just makes us want to go up to the lake and make out under the stars.

Monterey Park is a suburban city in the San Gabriel Valley. It is notable for it's Chinese American majority, although it has undergone changes over the years, from a predominantly Taiwanese Chinese population to a mainland Chinese and Hong Konger population.
