Wading through water to reach regality

Gentle Reflections is a digital art portrait or a young woman wading near a waterfall. This image was created by FancifulFusion (an ArtistsQuest subsidiary) utilizing various artistic styles and influences, and then finalized by ArtistsQuest.

This is another in the triptych of Egrets and Reflections. It shows a Snowy egret fluffing up it's plumage whilst stepping daintily through the water. I took the original image in Indian Shores in Florida and edited it in Photoshop CC, I have already posted the third image in this series a few months ago, it's called "Sometimes You've Just Got to scratch it"

Flamingos Birds

A Sandpiper, perhaps a stilt sandpiper, as seen near Naples Florida.

I enjoy birdwatching and Norfolk is a great place to see wading birds including these avocets. I was fortunate to get close enough to take reference photos which I used for this artwork created in a mixture of collage and watercolour.

I saw this little flock of Caribbean flamingos in a local zoo on a cloudy overcast day and they looked so out of place in a cold muddy lake, so I decided to whisk them away to a sunnier climate, which I felt would suit them better. I believe the lighter coloured ones are this years grown chicks and they gradually take on the vibrant colours of their parents as they grow older. They are also known as American or greater flamingos I created the background with my own photos and textures using Photoshop CC , Flood and Topaz.

As the early morning sun starts to burn the mist away from the lake, the spoonbills are already searching for their breakfast in the shallows. These are Eurasian Spoonbills a less colourful relative of the Roseate Spoonbills found in Florida.

This is a little bit of Whimsy that I created after visiting Florida recently. I love Roseate Spoonbills, they are such an appealing mixture of beauty and character with their funny long bills and I wanted to try and capture a surreal background to picture them in. I was really impressed by their "Pinkness" when I first saw them and so the overall feeling had to be pink. I know there is no such thing as Pink Mist but please put it down to artistic license and forgive me. I originally posted this on Facebook and Kira Bodensted from Art Universe asked me to post it here, so Kira, this is especially for you.
