Rajang is extremely violent, unrelenting and ultra-aggresive, and it's intensely territorial as well. The Rajang's most notable attack is its ability to shoot electricity from its mouth, either as a blast or a beam. They're well known due to their combination of speed, aggression and power. They are also famed for their dramatic Rage Mode, in which much of the fur on their front body rises and becomes gold. Rajang are found in a very wide range and variety of habitats; like the Volcano, Snowy Mountains and the Gorge. They are rarely seen in the wild due to their lonesome nomadic lifestyle.

Its body is covered in an exceptionally strong golden shell, making it difficult to attack without the Hunter's weapon bouncing off. It is slightly larger than the average Rathian. Gold Rathian is weakest to the Thunder Element and, like all Rathians, is capable of inflicting the Poison ailment and shooting fireballs. It is able to wield its flame sac with greater control and ferocity than the common species. It can enter the Incandescent state where its attacks become even more aggressive. Gold Rathian must be very aggressive to survive, accounting for its heightened aggression compared to the common species and subspecies. It has a crown-like crest composed of several finger-like appendages tipped with black spikes as well as a large, spongey yellow mane. The Royal Ludroth has a long, serpentine body with four squat limbs. Its hind pair of legs are shaped like paddles for swimming, and its foremost pair are more muscular, tipped with developed digits ending in long black claws. Its jaws are lined with shear-like plates in the place of teeth. Using its large, absorbent mane, Royal Ludroth can take on gallons of water for use in its many water-based defences. It can produce mucus-based globules that can be spewed at foes, and can force water out of the mane at high speeds, blasting back nearby enemies. Bishaten are hostile and are usually the primary objective of Hunts. They provide valuable Materials when defeated. Bishaten is a Fanged Beast with an odd body shape. Its body is covered mainly in cream-colored fur, while its arms and legs are covered in blue fur. Similar to its relative Kecha Wacha, Bishaten has patagia on its arms, supported by a single wing finger and covered by cyan-colored feathers, effectively forming wings that it can glide around with. Its arms end in five digits, one being the wing finger, the other four being short fingers with black claws. It also has an opposable thumb. Basarios is a flying wyvern with rocky, moss covered carapace and the juvenile form of Gravios. Its hard, stone-like carapace, which is even harder than their adult form, is used for protection against predators, and double up as an effective camouflage when Basarios partially buries itself in the ground. Basarios is a slow mover due to its weight, and although it has wings, it rarely uses them to fly. Even when it does, its weight allows it to fly only for a short time. Basarios is able to release either sleeping or poisonous gas from its underside and, on extremely rare occasions, a fire plume. It is also known to occasionally unleash a very powerful lava beam. Wroggi are bird wyverns that travel in packs that are led by largest and most toxic member. Be careful when one raises its head and its poison sac expands—that signals that it's about to spit a cloud of poisonous mist.

Brute Elder Dragon

The switch axe morphs between axe and sword modes. Axe mode boasts power and long reach, while sword mode features faster attacks and explosive finishers.

The Bowgun can be used to attack monsters from long range. There are two types of Bowgun: the Heavy Bowgun, which is generally slower, more powerful, and has access to high-damage ammo, and the Light Bowgun, which allows for greater mobility and evasive capabilities, and faster shooting.

The great sword has a long reach and powerful attacks. Because its sheer weight limits the speed of your movement and attacks, it lends itself well to hit-and-run combat tactics.

Sword mode boasts mobility and high guard capabilities, while axe mode boasts more powerful attacks. Store up energy while in sword mode, and then use it to deal high damage in axe mode.
