Those are the Masked palm civet (Paguma larvata) in the left and the Common Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) in the right. This kind of #civets are sadly famouse because they produce the so called Kopi luwak, or #civetcoffee, a coffee prepared with the cherries eaten by civets. The civet´s stomach enzymes affect the beans, adding to the coffee a prized aroma and flavor. The civets are keeping in cages where they are fed almost exclusively of such cherries, causing them to become severely malnourished. Farm conditions are also routinely described as deplorable.
