When Tamlin shows Feyre his parents’ rose garden, in A Court of Thorns and Roses, he confronts her about what’s bothering her. He’s recently given her supplies to resume her favorite hobby: painting. It’s thrilled her, but she feels guilty about enjoying this passion when she still worries that her family could be suffering back home (even though she’s been told they’re being taken care of).
