Canon Rebel T3i. Wood Nymphs with pipes (c)1932 by Henry Hering..Born on February 15, 1874 in New York City. He was educated under Augustus Saint Gaudens at Cooper Union and worked in the Studio of Philip Martiny from 1888-1891. He was a member of the New York Artist League from 1894 - 1898. The years 1891 - 1893 are unaccounted for. (Speculation allows that he came to Chicago with many of his student colleagues to work on the World's Columbian Exposition.) Hering studied in Paris from 1898 - 1901 at the Colarossi Academy and the Ecole des Beaux Arts.
