As a neurodivergent middle-aged human, I find myself in some weird corners of TikTok Recently, someone asked people with neurotypical brains “What do you think about when you’re doing something?” The replies were variations of “I think about the thing I am doing.” Being spicy brained, that didn’t quench the person asking the question’s thirst for knowledge, so they asked a more specific question: “When you’re sitting in a chair, and doing nothing else, what thoughts are going through your brain?” The replied broke my brain. They were along the lines of, “When I am sitting in a chair and not doing anything else, the only thing going through my head is ‘I’m sitting in a chair. I’m sitting in a chair. I’m sitting in a chair.”
