We often see herring gulls as individual opportunistic scavengers, but in some instances avian interactions do occur between different species and some of the waders in particular the big waders, such as this grey heron here... do give way to a more symbiotic approach to fishing. I have spent hours just watching and observing these interactions in my local area and along the foryd and come to the conclusion that there is some element of altruism at play here...
