Old Stone Bridge, Cumbria Kids T-Shirt

This is an image, originally captured on film in the autumn of 1987, of a stone bridge in the Lake District National Park, in England. National parks in the UK are areas of not only natural beauty, but also areas that exemplify the cultural history there. With this understanding, most of valley areas of the park are in private ownership, people live and work there, whereas much of the upland areas of the park belong the National Trust, a charity. The principle industry there is sheep (hill farming), which live on the mountains for most of the year. While not certain now, I seem to remember that the bridge in the image was on a road that ran alongside the west side of Derwentwater, one of the larger lakes in the park. Many of the roads...
