Gazania is in the family of Asteraceae, native to Southern Africa. This beautiful close up of the center of the gazania flower. They produce large, daisy-like flowers in brilliant shades of yellow and orange, for a long time over the summer.

A freshly rained upon Oxeye daisy provides a landing pad and nutritional supplement for a vividly orange coloured hover fly.

This annual marigold has dark orange daisy-like flowers with reddish-brown tinted petals. Its long stems make it perfect for cutting for indoor displays. If specifically growing for cut flowers, pinch out the terminal buds to encourage more flowers.

Bellis perennis, the daisy, is a European species of the family Asteraceae, often considered the archetypal species of the name daisy. To distinguish this species from other plants known as daisies, it is sometimes qualified or known as common daisy, lawn daisy or English daisy.

Working in colour I just saw this much better in black and white and so worked on it in post to convert to black and white afterwards. A heavy crop and a heavy vignette after some tidying up of the image resulted in this which I think will look quite appealing as a mono - framed print... :)
