Another one of my just for fun paintings. I have posted this one before, but have decided to rework her eyes, and brighten up the colours slightly. I think she is beautiful, and love the colours. She may be a lady or a goddess, or a sister, or friend. She is whatever you want her to be.

Watercolour on watercolour paper . This is just a small watercolour, but took a long time to create. I am very happy with how it turned out, especially how it looks on the various products. This is something I do for myself, kind of an exercise, when I have been away from the studio for too long and I need to ease into it again. So in other words, kind of a warm up exercise. I find that after I have done a few of these I start to get inspired.

I have always enjoyed painting colourful ladies with cats. This is a small painting, but big on colour, so maybe will have to translate it into a larger version one day. Watercolour on cold press 300 gsm Arches paper. It is winter, and Melbourne weather is cold an miserable. To cheer myself up , and keep warm, I've set up a little mini studio in my bedroom, so I can play with my watercolours whenever the mood grabs me. I love painting rainbows, so much fun. I get so inspired when I mix and mingle colours on the paper.

Watercolour on watercolour paper I had just bought a new tube of Daniel Smith watercolour. The colour is called moonglow. It's a beautiful purple colour, which I used on the shading of the hair. Then I could not resist all the bright colours in her outfit. Can't think of a good title. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have now posted a better image of this. Much larger high res image. Hopefully better on the products. This is a small watercolour painting I did a long time ago, as a colour mixing exercise. Kind of like an alternative to doing a colour wheel.
