This series has been published in British Feroce Magazine. Do we call something beautiful because we THINK it is beautiful or we are MADE TO THINK it is beautiful? Do we FEEL beauty or do we CONSUME it? We are fed ‘beauty’ via mass media and social networks everyday. It influences our perception and somehow connects beauty with concepts of healthy living, seductive behavior and luxury. In attempt to manifest this conflict, I have taken it to the point of absurdity by placing grotesque things into the ‘beauty’ context. As a result, bringing to light an ironic and surrealist series.

Who's that moving in the dark? The shadows of power hold many creeps.

Knowledge is power. The only difference between today's big companies (and totalitarian governments) and Big Brother is that the technologies they use to track us are much more advanced. And the difference between us and Winston Smith is that we give our information to them voluntarily.

...but who's buying?

Did it ever occur to you that brands were used for marking slaves and cattle - and maybe criminals? Funny how, nowadays, we pay to wear a brand on our clothes, don't you think? Not quite the same, of course - no one's coming at you with a red-hot branding iron in the sportswear department, thank goodness - but still... Makes you think, doesn't it?

Just doing my part, spending one stimulus check at a time!
