Being a diver and knowing just how tricky it can be to create natural images of pelagic wildlife can be - inspired me to create this art piece from within the Singapore Aquarium. It's not often that you see underwater such vast diversity of species within such a limited water column and to see extremely large grouper along with passing manta is an anomaly underwater... There was something that I liked in it, in particular the composure and perspective looking through the aquarium and the mirroring of both the large pelagic species as pattern. For this reason I chose to work further on the piece afterwards on computer and kept the colour balance ocean blue.

One of those photos that you just know isn't perfect, even with digital manipulation or use of airbrush, but you just didn't have the heart to completely ditch it or trash it to the modern trashcan forever!!!?! Taken in Sudan, this is just one of a myriad of photographs which I haven't as yet had time to work with and present properly. In an era of digital archives, it astounds me just how many photographs are taken and little is done with them... Maybe I will create a 'photo-club' ~ based on the images that don't get viewed at all or even that often... Certainly might be fun !!!?! :D The title stems from an old fisherman friend who ribbed me constantly as a 'young teen fishing in Cornwall' ~ for taking eons coming into...
