Tour of the Gila is an annual 5 day cycling race. This image was taken during the Stage 4 Critirium, an all day racing event held in downtown Silver City, New Mexico.

With the combination of the expression on this cyclist face, showing the burn and the excitement along with these wonderful colors....... he was an excellent focal point in this photograph. The Tour of the Gila is a premiere cycling event which takes place in Southwest New Mexico yearly. Being a five-day race, it provides many photographic opportunities.
