Iridescent Yellows Greens

A delicately colored geometric design that creates the illusion of crumpled paper.

This work was created during a period where I was exploring different ways of manipulating paint on the paper to give interesting textural and colour mixing effects. To create this work I first applied masking fluid to the paper using spatter techniques and allowed this to dry completely. I then mixed the required base paint colours and applied to the paper, quickly applied water randomly by spatter techniques and then overlaid cling film. This was then manipulated using my fingers to create texture and pattern in the paint. This was then allowed to dry for 24 hours before the cling film was removed. I love photographing many different textures and then applying them to various items for sale. This is a digitally edited/manipulated photograph of a stone surface. All works, regardless of their image format, can be printed large scale on 20"x30" fine art photo paper or on 30"x40" stretched-on-frame canvas. Canvas prints are priced at $1,200.00 which includes shipping.

I was playing with ultra fractal creating marble textures for a challange and came up with this! It's a richly gold colored marble texture that looks shiny and 3D.
