Dog - Tornjak - Red and White Long Sleeve T-Shirt

The Tornjak is a sturdy herding dog from the region of Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Croatia, but actually hail form as far back as the Holy Roman Empire. Tornjaks were used by the Romans as herders, but also as war dogs and even gladiatorial entertainment. An old saying in their homeland goes “A Tornjak guarding his flock is a fair match to two wolves,” which should speak to how passionate they are at their jobs. Although the breed has a long history, it nearly went extinct in the 1970s but was saved when breed enthusiasts in Bosnia and the surrounding regions went searching for dogs that matched the descriptions of the dogs in ancient manuscripts. By 1981 there were 200 pedigreed Tornjaks registered and by 2017 they were officially registered
