Dome and Arches, Salzburg Cathedral Long Sleeve T-Shirt

This image shows the view looking up into the dome at the junction between the transept and choir inside the cathedral in Salzburg, Austria. I really enjoy capturing images of places of worship. I suppose it's the depth of faith that pushed people to create such magnificent places; I just really appreciate that dedication. The present cathedral was built in the 17th century, but had been preceded by earlier structures built in the 8th century (destroyed by fire) and then rebuilt in stages into the 12th century. "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". In this image, I love the richness, the boldness of the baroque style.
