The Plan 9 From Outer Space Cast design is inspired by the cult film written and directed by the legendary B movie director Edward D Wood Jr. Recognised as one of the worst filmmakers of all time, Plan 9 stands as Wood's magnum opus. The film starred Gregory Walcott, Mona McKinnon, Tor Johnson, and "Vampira". The film also billed Bela Lugosi as appearing in the film, despite having died the year before and appearing only in silent stock footage.

Tor Johnson, was a Swedish professional wrestler and actor. As an actor, Johnson appeared in many B-movies, including some famously directed by low budget icon Ed Wood. In professional wrestling, Johnson was billed as Thor Johnson and Super Swedish Angel.

Plan 9 from Outer Space is a 1957 American independent science fiction-horror film produced, written, directed, and edited by cult cinema icon Ed Wood. The film was shot in black-and-white in November 1956 (under the shooting title Grave Robbers from Outer Space) and premiered on March 15, 1957 at the Carlton Theatre in Los Angeles. Re-titled Plan 9 from Outer Space, it went into general release in April 1959 in Texas and several other Southern states before being sold to television in 1961. Plan 9 From Outer Space is generally considered to be "the worst movie ever made".
