I arrived in Helsinki, Finland to find 2 metres of snow but that the city still worked as if the snow was not there. Cycling was not easy of course on the icy roads but most of the bicycles were buried under these deep blanket of snow. As the snow melted the bicycles buried and lost outside the main railway station started to re-appear. It was a most strange surreal sight to gradually see things long lost, de-frosting and being seen again little by little. Like speeded up archeology. I wondered if each cycle was claimed by th rightful owner.
