Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington, and currently based in Portland, Oregon. The founding members are lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy.

Humans aren't the only species that experience listlessness, dissatisfaction, ennui and despair.

Cymbals Eat Guitars was an indie rock band from Staten Island, New York. Leaded by Joseph D'Agostino the band developed their own personal brand of indie rock with a lot of emotional vibes. Influences of grunge, emo, punk, shoegaze and posthardcore were there all along, but the band went on experimenting with some soul vibes too. Along with Titus Andronicus, Cloud Nothings, Japandroids and Beach Slang, Cymbals Eat Guitars were one of the best examples of 90's indie-rock brought to the present by new generations. Three remarkable albums, Why There Are Mountains, Lenses Alien, Lose and Pretty Years are a testimony to that.
