Gary Oldman is an Oscar winner and one of the most respected and revered actors ever. But to me, his best work is still playing the disgusting pimp Drexl Spivey in True Romance. Drexl is a central character to the story, though Oldman is essentially only in one scene ... a legendary scene so good it would have stolen the whole movie if not for the Walken/Hopper scene.

Inglourious Basterds is a 2009 war film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, Eli Roth, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Til Schweiger and Mélanie Laurent. The film tells an alternate history story of two plots to assassinate Nazi Germany's leadership, one planned by Shosanna Dreyfus (Laurent), a young French Jewish cinema proprietor, and the other by the British but ultimately conducted solely by a team of Jewish American soldiers led by First Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Pitt). Christoph Waltz co-stars as Hans Landa, an SS colonel in charge of tracking down Raine's group.

If you're here checking out this design, chances are good you understand; I don't need to explain to you the glory of True Romance. So many giants of cinema are in this film. Most are one- or two-scene performances, but many would say they make the movie. The best of them - Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper, and James Gandolfini - blew me away to the point that I felt they deserved the full 4-tone shaded Plaid treatment, despite the minuscule screen time. Justin Pitt, usually called Mr. Pitt, is Elaine's eccentric boss during Season Six. He is an executive at Doubleday publishing company and hired Elaine to be his assistant solely because she reminded him of Jackie Onassis when they first met, sometime after Pendant Publishing went out of business. However, he is rather obsessive-compulsive often had her do rather trivial work for him, including spending hours finding the perfect pair of socks, removing salt from his pretzel sticks, sharpening pencils, and winning a ticket for holding a rope for the Woody Woodpecker balloon at Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. He also has the unusual habit of eating Snickers bars with a fork and knife.
