Hot off its initial release, the Valiant received some minor cosmetic changes and introduced a two-door and hardtop version to the line-up.

1966 brought us Star Trek, the Astrodome, and the final year of Valiant's second generation body style...

Released in 1970, the Duster was the result of a classic muscle car formula - Cheap Car (in this case - the Valiant) + High-Performance Engine (in this case, the 340 - available with this sweet badge design on the hood as an option).

As the storm clouds of the gas crisis started to rise in the early 70s, Valiant's advertising shifts away from strictly performance and toward build quality.

1962 would be the last year for the first generation Valiant design. This particular year was lauded for Outstanding Design by the Society of Illustrators.

The 360 Small Block replaced the 340 in 1974 and served as a small block staple until 1993...
