Salisbury Plain Magnet

Salisbury Plain lies just to the North of Salisbury. The ministry of defence claimed it many years ago, and from time to time play with their tanks there. The rest of the time it is a virtually untouched grassland, much as it would have been before man - particularly as public access is limited to a few tracks (when not in use). Painted here (in oil on a 20x8 inch board) in high summer its a swathe of wild grass with wild flowers and (unseen here) rare butterflies.
