Brown Betty Teapot cut from 1860 London Street Map Magnet
Teapot Magnet
designed and sold by tsd-fashion
Classic UK teapot, the Brown Betty, is cut from a street map of London from 1860. The original teapot came from a red clay that was discovered in the Stoke-on-Trent area of Britain, in 1695. This clay resulted in a ceramic which seemed to retain heat better and so found use as the material for the teapot as early as the seventeenth century.
